Q. What did marriage teach you about cooking?
A. My husband is from Mumbai, the western part of India. I learned how to make rice from my mother in Delhi. Rice is done when it is stuck together. My mother-in-law came to visit. I made rice (the New Delhi way). She said "It's OK, dear, if you don't know how to cook. I'll show you."
You learn about nuances and different cultures.?.?.?.?From my mother-in-law, I learned a great deal about how to use peanuts and coconut, which are not typical in Delhi.
