Join acclaimed food and travel writer, Monica Bhide, for an afternoon of Indian cuisine. Monica has been published in many major publications including Food & Wine, The New York Times, Bon Appetite, and Saveur. She has also published three cookbooks, the latest being Modern Spice: Inspired Indian recipes for the contemporary Kitchen.
Using traditional ingredients, Monica will prepare a sampling of her favorite Indian recipes and let you taste the results. Modern Spice will be available for purchase during the event.

What a lovely setting for your event! As someone who brings far too much equipment for my own cooking demos, I am curious what type of hotplate you use? Do you really only bring that one hotplate and a frying pan? Thanks for any advice you can give.

Linda – It is not a hot plate but a high end induction burner. I had several induction ready pans with me but they are not all displayed on the table. We were given an extra table to store things
