  1. Hello there Monica! Thanks to Charmian Christie’s recommendation on her blog, I picked up a copy of Modern Spice yesterday and I can’t wait to start cooking from it. So many great recipes, I’m sure it destined to become invaluable. Many thanks for this wonderful book!

  2. Thanks! I hope you will enjoy Modern Spice! I would love to hear your experiences.

  3. I owe Charmian an even bigger debt of gratitude … after spending the better part of the weekend devouring Modern Spice, I am completely in love with it! I am reading it cover to cover and have already made one dish (Hot, Hotter, Hottest Shrimp – it was amazing!) and made a special trip to Kalustyan’s market for the requisite pantry spices. Funny, I’ve always been a bit intimidated by cooking Indian food at home … but thanks to you, no more! Really, I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful book. Thank you so much for introducing me to a whole new, delicious world. 🙂

  4. Thanks so much!! You are welcome to share the recipe on your site as well. I am so pleased to read that you are enjoying Modern Spice!

  5. Hooray! Thanks so much for letting me share the recipe. I just sent you an email asking permission … I am delighted to do so and will post it tomorrow. I know my readers will enjoy it as much as we did. Next up … I’m grilling some pork chops and will top them with your pomegranate chutney. Yum!

Lastly, I have joined you in your love of Chaat Masala … and am contemplating creating a chaat spiced shortbread cookie. It will either be wonderful or terrible … but since I have great affection for salty-sweet things, I can’t help but try. Will let you know how it turns out.
