"Chef Jose Andres" – Dec 22nd, Economic Times

Jose Andres, one of America’s most successful and noted chefs, is also the owner of multiple restaurants in WashingtonDC. Andres, who came to Washington DC for over twelve years, first headed the kitchen at the Jaleo, a popular tapas restaurant in DC. He now owns and operates multiple Jaleo locations, Café Atlantico, Zaytinya and Oyamel all in the WashingtonDC metro area.

In the fall of 2004, Bon Appetit magazine named Andrés “Chef of the Year” and Food & Wine included Andrés in their “35 under 35 Tastemakers list for 2004” and in 2003. Andrés has also won the James Beard Foundation’s Best Chef of the Mid-Atlantic Region. Passionate and driven, Andres also hosts a wildly popular food program on Television Espanola (TVE), Spanish National television.
