This cover photo is shot and posted here with the permission of Devany Vickery-Davidson, a writer, blogger and lovely photographer. This is the view from her writing room. I have posted a photo of her equally lovely room with a quote from her. I know she is moving but I am sure her new writing space will be just as inspiring:

“Here is my writing space. My office is our master suite and looks out over the Pacific Ocean. I have a lanai off of the office where I often take photos of the sunrises. The ocean is my constant soundtrack and view, changing with the time of day and season, but always there.”

  1. Such a neat idea. I love the idea of a breeze dancing through that expansive room.

  2. Love this post and the beautiful slide show you put together. I’m inspired by all the writing spaces. Now if we could only swap spaces every once in awhile…

  3. Thanks for including me in the blog post Monica. I have been blessed to have this view for the last four years. In a few days we are moving East… to yet another island on the Atlantic. I enjoyed the presentation. Nicely done.

  5. I am about to move my writing space from one home to another and your slideshows proves that a writer can find inspiration anywhere. Or should I say – a writer makes do with what it is and teaches him or herself to find inspiration there.

You have just inspired me to move my writing space to where I have always wanted to be in the house. Ok there is my winter project. Thanks again.

  7. What a fun (and creative) post! Back in the days of bulky computers, I was tethered to my “proper” desk with my screen and huge hard drive. Now my laptop and I wander around and I sit wherever I please – usually at the kitchen table.

  8. I love this glimpse into the lives of the writers whose voices I know, and I am looking forward to reading the words of those included here that I don’t . What a lovely post!

  9. Thank you for this lovely glimpse into the inspirational spaces inhabited by writers. And thank you for sharing my shady nook!
