Come join me in a special event for Les Dames d’Escoffier as I lead you through the temples, mosques, and gurudwaras by way of India’s sacred foods.

EVENT PHOTOS:

India, one of the oldest civilizations in the world, is also home to many religions: Hinduism, Judaism, Jainism, Sikhism, Christianity, Islam, Bahai, Buddhism, and many more. While the beliefs of all these religions may vary, there is one thing that they all have in common: All of them have sacred foods! Whether during services at holy places or at festivals or at home, there is a whole world of sacred foods in India. And, it is not just desserts! There is a temple in Northern India that is famous for its Chappan Bhog–a sacred meal of 56 courses that is offered during special prayers.

A little surprise fact: These baked beans are  sold at the Hare Krishna Temple in Delhi! (Govinda is another name for the Indian God Krishna)

Date: March 3rd at 1:00 pm

See invitation below for details on the location, menu, cost and other logistics.
